Bothwell
As a member of the Sr1 group I work on pushing the frontiers of accuracy and precision. We do so by combining the best ultrastable lasers in the world with our carefully controlled 1D strontium optical lattice clock. Doing so will not only let us demonstrate the next decade of accuracy, but also use our clock to probe nature, from gravitational shifts to drifts in fundamental constants. In my free time I'm usually wandering around somewhere remote and cold with my wife.
Aeppli
I am a graduate student working on the 1D
Weichman
I am a NRC postdoctoral research associate working on the mid-IR frequency comb project in the Ye group. I'm interested in cold chemistry and molecular spectroscopy. I completed my PhD in Dan Neumark's group at UC-Berkeley, where I used high-resolution photoelectron imaging to study cold molecular and cluster anions.
Valtolina
I am a JILA postdoc in the ultracold KRb polar molecules experiment in the Ye group. We are developing a new apparatus for enhanced control at the single-molecule level with both electric and optical fields. I completed my PhD at Scuola Normale Superiore - Pisa, working in Massimo Inguscio's group at LENS - Florence on the dynamics and transport properties of strongly interacting atomic Fermi gases.
Toscano
I am a Lindemann postdoctoral research fellow working on the mid-IR frequency comb project. I received my PhD from the University of Oxford, where I worked on the Zeeman deceleration and magnetic guiding of radicals in the groups of Dr. Brianna Heazlewood and Professor Tim Softley.
