On a cold November evening at the Rayback Collective in Boulder, JILA hosted its inaugural "Life After JILA" Alumni Mixer. As hosted by the Life After JILA group within the institute, the Mixer invited alumni from the Colorado and Front Range areas to a night of networking and reconnecting. Over 40 individuals came for the event, including alumni now employed at NIST, DU, Quantinuum, Infleqtion, FormFactor, and LASP. JILA Fellow David Nesbitt also appeared, discussing current research with several alumni.

For JILA graduate students, this event offered new opportunities to expand their network and learn about potential future careers after graduate school. Life After JILA leaders Sinead Ryan, Anya Grafov, Luca Talamo, and Cal Miller received compliments and positive reviews throughout the evening about the event.

Given its success and large attendance, it will be no surprise to see JILA host another networking event of this caliber in the future.
